Messin' With Sasquatch

Maybe Planet of the Apes got it right. What if the sasquatch (and his pals the yeti, skunk ape, etc.) not only exist, but exist as the superior primate species to humans?

If these creatures are real, why have we not discovered, without a doubt, physical evidence of their existence? Is it because they only exist in folklore, because they're so few in number, or because they have devised complex and clever ways to avoid interaction with humans?

Sasquatches, having seen the atrocities spawned by technology, government, and religion, understand that the only predator they truly have to worry about is man. So instead of using their intelligence to create computers and cars and hamburgers (and pollution, poverty, and power), they use their primate intelligence to craft complex dwellings and travel patterns that allow them to be elusive to human contact.

And, having observed the pitfalls of mass producing food, they have remained consistent with the primitive diet, eating food found in the forest for survival instead of dining for recreation.
While humans have certainly left a big footprint on the earth, perhaps the sasquatches' will be around longer.
